Its not always easy to find support as an expectant young parent. There is no big national 'Young Parent' orgnaisation or charity. Google 'young parent support' and you'll get a variety of local websites and reports, some relevant, some not.
So when you find an amazing resource for young parents-to-be, which is totally free it NEEDS to be shared! On top of that, they want YOUR views to make it even better...
Tommys is a national charity that funds medical research into the causes of premature birth, stillbirth and
miscarriage, and provides an information service about health in
pregnancy. They also produce a brilliant book for young parents-to-be called 'The young woman's guide to pregnancy'. The book is FREE for pregnant young women and they are keen to hear YOUR views. You can access pdfs of the book here (Chapters 1 -12 at the bottom of the page) or you can order a copy here. After you've had a look through you can fill in this survey so that Tommys know what you like, didn't like and how it can be improved to suit the needs of future pregnant young women. If you were pregnant as a teen PLEEEEAAASE have your say (if you're older than 20 now its ok, just leave the age bit blank).
Also, if you'd be able to join a focus group add your contact details to the survey - they can pay your travel and everything....
Contact Sara at Tommys if you have any questions. (SCarbone@Tommys.org)
